Car Accident: Emily Houska

In April 2016, just a day after her 22nd birthday and days before her graduation from ISU, Emily was randomly and brutally assaulted while power walking on the Constitution Trail in Normal, Illinois. An unidentified assailant attacked her from behind, causing facial bruising and temporary hearing loss.

Before the accident, Emily Houska had already gained local recognition for her incredible strength. In April 2016, while she was a student at ISU, she was the victim of a violent assault on the in Normal, Illinois.

On the morning of August 20, 2017, the trajectory of this promising young life was abruptly halted. According to reports from the Darien Police Department , Emily was struck by a vehicle while walking on North Frontage Road in Darien around 5:00 a.m..
