This is a common issue with inkjet printers. Fortunately, you do not need to buy a new printer or pay for expensive repair services. You can fix this issue yourself using a tool called the Epson L3200 Resetter, also known as the Adjustment Program.
Click the button. The software will read your printer's memory and display the current point count and percentage.
| Feature | Free Resetter | Official Service | Paid Online Key (e.g., WIC Utility) | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | | $0 | $50–$100 + shipping | $10–$15 per reset | | Skill Level | Intermediate | None (they do it) | Beginner | | Malware Risk | Medium | None | Low | | Warranty Safe | No | Yes | No | | Success Rate | 85% (if correct version) | 100% | 99% |
The most secure method is to contact authorized service centers. They will physically replace the saturated pads and use official equipment to securely reset the internal counter.
Using the wrong version of unauthorized adjustment software can permanently corrupt your printer's firmware, rendering it completely unusable.
Resetting the counter without replacing the physical pad is a temporary fix. If the pad is genuinely full, ink can spill inside the printer. Always check and replace the pad after two or three resets.
The software will display a pop-up window reading: "Please turn off the printer." Press the physical power button on your Epson L3200 to turn it completely off. Once the printer shuts down, click on the computer screen. Turn the printer back on. The flashing red lights should now be gone, and the status light will remain solid green, indicating the printer is ready for operation. Important Safety Warning: Physical Maintenance Required
A can help you reset the ink pad counter and get your printer working again.
Epson programs the printer’s firmware with a virtual counter. Every time you clean the print head, the counter increases. When this counter hits a predetermined limit (usually 15,000 to 20,000 pages), the printer enters a “Service Required” lockout.
