Firmware patches fix coding bugs that cause the repeater to randomly drop connections or require frequent reboots.
Ensure your computer's Wi-Fi is temporarily turned off so the computer is forced to communicate solely through the Ethernet cable.
Look at the physical sticker on the back or bottom of your Pix-Link device. Ensure it explicitly says "300Mbps", "LV-WR09", "WR22", or a matching variant. Installing firmware meant for a different hardware version will ruin the device.
Locate the extracted .bin or .trx file you downloaded in Step 1. Select it. Click the or Upload button.

Keep the repeater away from household appliances that disrupt wireless signals, such as microwaves, cordless phones, and large metal structures.
Click or Browse and select the .bin firmware file you downloaded earlier. Click Upload or Upgrade to start the process.
The first thing to note is that Pix-Link does not have a centralized, user-friendly "one-click update" system like Netgear or TP-Link. The process is manual and requires some technical literacy.
